SOA/message bus

This book looks very valuable. I'm really glad you're doing this. The only thing I would say is that the SOA/message bus material seems a little light, and not strongly differentiated.

Understood szimmer,

Do you have specific information you are expecting to see?  If so what?  I didn't know if you had something in mind or you were trying to learn about that area and we didn't cover it enough. We are happy to take input.

The guide is limited in size, but we are planning to add additional information to the guide via the knowledge base at http://www.codeplex.com/AppArch .

Thanks Rob. I understand you can't cover everything. For messaging and n-tier systems, you might try to talk about how UML sequence diagrams can be used to sum the latencies and durations over each message path to determine total response time. This is a methodical approach to estimating, before full integration testing, if a solution meets performance requirements.
About ESB, you might add that it is a set of patterns that architects have evolved from experience on SOA projects. ESB is not a product, just as no product is a SOA.
