URL Link (in PDF version) contains a character from the text that comes right behind it

description

Page 40 contains an URL:

The URL in the text:

Architecture vs. Design
What are the architectural trends that might impact your application now or after it has
been deployed?
According to Martin Fowler in the “Who Needs an Architect?” available at
http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?arnumber=01231144:
“…the expert developers working on that project have a shared understanding of the

system design. This shared understanding is called ’architecture.’

When you click on the URL from the PDF the URL http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?arnumber=01231144: is opened. The URL should be http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/stamp/stamp.jsp?arnumber=01231144
Without the ":" character. Don't know if this is a Adobe Reader bug or not.

It was an easy bug to fix. We fixed it in version 2.0a of the guide due for slip stream release on Jan 14th or 15th 2009 to this codeplex site.
